I'm a UI/UX designer who is passionate about helping people (or companies) succeed! I also dabble in game dev/design and love working with Unity & C#. My favorite activities are hiking, swimming, and reading books. Also, I like cats, and dogs, but mostly cats.

My Story

I grew up in a relatively small town. We didn't have much around in terms of tech companies or businesses hiring people in tech. I learned about python from a book my brother had started reading and used the IDLE program from the python website. I was twelve at the time and being new to the internet and using a computer outside of gaming, I found it somewhat complicated to learn. I ended up moving into web development after my sister suggested I check out freeCodeCamp from an ad she saw.

Fast forward a few years, I had struggled to receive the Front-end Developer certificate from FCC, but easily passed the requirements for the Responsive Web Design certificate. I had also started on a bachelor's degree where I majored in theology. During that time, I started a web studio with a few friends. The team last for under a year, and before I knew it, I was left managing our clients. I mostly did visual/web design with a little UX and graphic designed mixed in. The longer I stayed working with the clients, the more involved I became with UX/UXR.

By the time covid hit and the damage to businesses, I shut down the site and moved around, finally landing in TN late 2020. I struggled a lot trying to figure out what direction I wanted to go, and finally landed on positioning myself as a UI/UX designer. I'm interested in web, app, and game design, and look forward to finding a position that not only utilizes my skills, but gives me a chance to learn and grow more in the world of design.
